About the role:
The Indirect Sourcing Specialist supports the end-to-end execution of sourcing events for operational spend in multiple spend categories including Human Resources, Facilities, Information Systems, Sales & Marketing, Professional Services, R&D, and MRO including capital equipment. This role supports the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to align with business goals and drive cost savings, while ensuring exceptional customer service across all divisions, sites, and regions.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting with executing category strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage
  • Supporting supplier relationships to align with company and category expectations
  • Assisting with supplier negotiations, business reviews and on-site assessments
  • Negotiating and executing contracts that deliver the best outcomes for Boston Scientific
  • Driving sustained value improvements related to quality, service, and cost
  • Gathering and analyzing market intelligence to identify and report on supplier capabilities and trends; work with stakeholders to mitigate risks
  • Supporting supplier selection process to ensure alignment with category strategies
  • Supporting business value improvement projects
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in any disciple or combination of education and at least 1 year of experience in sourcing, supply chain management, or supplier relationship management
  • Experience with MS Office Excel and other applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering or business administration
  • Experience working in medical device or similar regulated industry
  • Ability to develop negotiation skills and influence internal and external teams
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-oriented
  • Organized and detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks effectively
