Canacre s clients include developers, large scale service providers, and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects, rights of way, resources, and infrastructure across Canada and the United States. Canacre works on large-scale wind and solar power projects, high-voltage transmission lines, pipeline projects, municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

The Environmental Team Lead is to provide on- and off-site support for Project & Construction Management to proactively identify and reduce, avoid or mitigate environmental risks in order to maintain construction schedule and Environmental/ Regulatory compliance. Wildlife Biologist experience desired.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and understand environmental compliance requirements and/or wildlife biologist.

Maintain a positive, friendly & solution-focused attitude in order to provide excellent customer service to the Project Construction & Management team(s)

Direct and implement environmental compliance programs on Projects (i.e.: develop/implement Environmental Protection or Mitigation Plans)

Proactively identify and report to the Project Environment Manager any major or unforeseen environmental issues and/or considerations (i.e.: timing restrictions, species at risk, access, etc);

Knowledge and research on Endangered Species and Habitat..

Knowledge and research on Storm and Water Pollution Prevention.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, Wildlife or related field required.
