  • $80K - $100K annually (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Survey Operations:
    Conduct hydrographic and topographic surveys using GPS, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HydroPro, and SonarMite to support accurate dredging operations.
    Example: Generate detailed survey reports to ensure projects align with USACE standards and industry specifications.
  • Project Monitoring & Execution:
    Plan and mobilize equipment, oversee production metrics, and manage dredging operations to ensure projects remain on schedule and adhere to marine construction protocols.
    Example: Support the Corpus Christi ship channel deepening project by ensuring equipment and personnel operate efficiently within USACE guidelines.
  • Environmental Compliance & On-Site Support:
    Monitor key environmental indicators, including water quality, turbidity, and oxygen levels, ensuring operations comply with EPA and OSHA standards.
    Example: Collaborate with the dredging team to manage compliance with federal and state environmental regulations during the Houston Ship Channel improvements.


Requirements

What You ll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience in Marine Operations:
    3-5 years of experience in marine dredging, civil engineering, or hydrographic surveys, with the ability to operate small survey vessels and manage equipment in open-water conditions.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Strong skills in geospatial data collection, equipment mobilization, and data processing with proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HydroPro, and SonarMite. Proven experience with hydrographic surveys is essential.
  • Team-Oriented & Safety-Focused:
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a deep commitment to safety and quality standards. Must be able to work in remote locations and adhere to strict safety protocols during extended project periods.
  • TWIC Certification:
    A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is preferred or the willingness to obtain it for working in secure maritime environments.
