Job Summary:

Panasonic Energy is seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Manager to join our Security & Resilience team. Based in either the Reno, Nevada area or the Kansas City, Kansas area, this key role will focus on supporting security managers across multiple company locations. The Security Operations Manager will be responsible for auditing contracted guard force operations, ensuring continuity in physical security measures, testing for vulnerabilities, and assisting in the creation and updating of security policies and procedures. Additionally, this role may serve as a stand-in for security management during extended absences, ensuring seamless operations and the ongoing protection of our facilities.

Essential Duties:
  • Provide direct support to security managers at various company locations, ensuring consistency and excellence in security operations across all sites.
  • Audit and evaluate contracted guard force operations, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on physical security measures, identifying potential weaknesses and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure continuity in physical security operations by coordinating efforts and standardizing procedures across multiple locations.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and updating of security policies and procedures, ensuring they align with industry best practices and evolving threats.
  • Stand in for security management during extended absences, overseeing day-to-day security operations, and addressing any immediate security concerns.
  • Support the execution of large-scale security projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals and budgets.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating security for special events, ensuring all necessary precautions and protocols are in place.
  • Monitor and analyze security incident reports, ensuring thorough investigation and follow-up on any breaches or incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to enhance the organization's overall security posture.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field; equivalent experience in security operations may be considered.
  • 5-10 years of experience in security operations, physical security management, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to manage and support security teams.
  • Proven experience in conducting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems, access controls, and best practices in guarding operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with security personnel, management, and external partners.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and updating security policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to security incidents and operational challenges promptly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support security operations across various company locations.
  • Proficiency in using security management software and tools for incident reporting, auditing, and risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in managing contracted security guard forces and overseeing large-scale security projects.
  • Certification such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or other relevant security certifications.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating security for large events or high-profile gatherings, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
