Position Summary Description
Support the information systems administration, processes, security and network infrastructure of the Business Technology department. Develop an understanding of Seminole Electric s computer application processes, programs, and systems to the degree that assignments will be accomplished in an efficient manner. This role will be responsible for computer hardware/software support, network communications, cyber security monitoring, software patching, scripting and other technology related projects.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or equivalent in formal education. Co-op students are expected to be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester, maintain a 2.75 GPA, and work approximately 20 hours a week.

Technical Competencies/Skills:
- Understanding of Windows Operating systems

- Basic understanding of computer networking and communications

Essential Functions
- Aid in the day-to-day information technology operations by assisting Business Technology staff to administer and troubleshoot hardware/software systems.
- Monitor control systems for both reliable operation and cyber security vulnerabilities.
- Support cyber security compliance tasks.
- Support the Help Desk in resolving problem tickets and support requests.
- Review and collect daily data, logs, and alarms for NERC compliance reporting criteria.
- Participate in working groups and meetings pertaining to project involvement.
- Assist in patch management.
- Assist in some program development
- Performs NERC Compliance Program roles if/as designated in Seminole s Standard Ownership Matrix (SOM) including ongoing evidence retention in audit-ready form as applicable and directed. You should also be familiar with Seminole s Enterprise Internal Compliance Program (ENT-GCD-RGC-EP-054) to further your understanding of Seminole s compliance program and the context of your duties and responsibilities attendant to your designation in the SOM.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must have a valid driver s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Working Conditions
Generally accepted office conditions. Some travel to Seminole Electric s Backup Control Center and generating stations may be required. Flexible hours.
