Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Strategy:
    • Drive and execute a comprehensive strategy aligned with organizational goals
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in technologies to continually enhance our cloud infrastructure and security posture, private and public clous
  • Cloud Implementation:
    • Oversee the design and implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
    • Collaborate with architecture and development teams to ensure the effective integration of applications with the cloud platform, including Disaster Recovery, Backup and Recovery, and Monitoring
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Work closely with the Cybersecurity & Compliance teams to implement and maintain robust security measures in the environment. Ensure compliance with relevant internal industry standards and regulations
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on the status of cloud infrastructure projects and operations
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of multi-layered cloud engineers and administrators
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and development and manage resources
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Establish and enforce operational best practices, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure
    • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve the efficiency of cloud operations
  • Cost Management:
    • Develop and implement cost management strategies to optimize resource usage and control expenses
    • Review and adjust resource allocations regularly to align with business needs
  • Vendor Management:
    • Lead the strategic selection, negotiation, and management of vendor relationships to optimize cloud services, ensure contractual compliance, and drive continuous improvement, ultimately aligning vendor contributions with organizational goals and fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency


Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience with current and emerging infrastructure and operations technologies and practices
  • 5 years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting, vendor management, and staffing
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to quickly handle shifting priorities and work towards agreed-upon goals and target dates
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and integrate internal and external teams

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $140,000 - $185,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
