Project Manager - Drive Innovation in Chemical Processing
Join our Corporate Engineering Group in Alpharetta, GA, as a Project Manager, where you'll lead capital projects that transform the way we produce and process chemical resins and surfaces. We're seeking a seasoned professional with a passion for chemical engineering and project management to drive innovation and success in our manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities:
* Spearhead engineering projects from conceptualization to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and minimal disruption to plant activities.
* Develop and maintain mass and energy balances, perform engineering analysis, and provide solutions to existing problems.
* Prepare and execute Capital Investment Requests, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier/contractor performance.
* Conduct safety assessments, including PHAs, MOCs, and PSSRs, and collaborate with the HSE department to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
* Manage project teams, provide guidance, and support performance management.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
* Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
* 5-10+ years of experience in plant maintenance, engineering, or project engineering, with a focus on chemical processing.
* Strong understanding of P&IDs, process and equipment drawings, and experience with PLC and DeltaV troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with Aspen Plus, AutoCAD, HAZOP, and PHA facilitation.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to travel frequently (up to 40%) and work in a manufacturing environment.
