Responsibilities:

  • Excellent employment opportunity for a Supply Chain Specialist II in the Santa Monica, CA area.
  • Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders to suppliers to meet customer service levels.
  • Source requisitions below sourcing threshold and send RFQ and RFPs to suppliers.
  • Follow current procedures, policies and guidelines
  • Act as the point of contact for internal customers' day-to-day interactions, help desk / support function
  • Collaborate with the appropriate Company functional teams to assist in the resolution of issues such as: invoice holds, open pos, damage claims, rejections, losses, returns, over shipments, cancellations, and discontinuations.
  • Work with Accounts Payable, Receiving and vendors in the resolution of discrepancies between purchase order, receipt and invoice payment
  • Serves as liaison between Company and Supplier, maintains positive vendor relationships, plans and inputs to the negotiation of beneficial supplier agreements on behalf of the Company.
  • Analyze performance and issues related to Purchasing process and systems
  • Propose and support Purchasing system and process improvements
  • Support Supply Chain team with ad-hoc projects
  • Assist with Change Management activities associated with Purchasing process and system changes

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in Procurement and/or IT and/or Project Management and/or Data Analytics with a Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement with a High School Diploma
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly fluid company environment with minimal direction
  • Demonstrates respect, focuses on delivering value, and embraces learning and continual
    improvement
  • To be able to manage ambiguity and frequently evolving priorities
  • Ability to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Strong team player
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 2+ years of relevant Procurement or Supplier Management experience, preferably in Manufacturing environment
    • Experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
    • Experience with ERP Systems - Oracle EBS, SAP or similar
    • Experience with P2P and spend management tools such as Ariba, Bravo/Jaggaer, Tableau
