Oil and Gas/IT Solutions Analyst
Our client is seeking a Solutions Analyst with a proven track record in oil and gas, to join our IT Enterprise Applications team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with departments to understand business needs, design innovative technical solutions, and lead successful project implementations. You'll drive operational efficiency and take ownership of projects ranging from individual application upgrades to large-scale, multi-disciplinary initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement cutting-edge technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Analyze complex business processes and assess how technology can be leveraged to optimize them.
Lead assigned software projects, partnering with stakeholders and external consultants.
Provide technical support and training for new systems and processes.
Proactively engage with business leaders to align project roadmaps with departmental goals.
Utilize your technical expertise to improve processes through data modeling, complex queries, integrations, and self-service solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and Spotfire.
Software Platforms:
Peloton Suite (Wellview, Siteview)
Aries
G&G Software (Petra, Kingdom)
Materials Management (OpenMaterials, Maximo, MARSWorx)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry (Upstream E&P experience preferred).
Technical proficiency with SQL and experience developing data extracts, visualizations, and automated solutions.
Proven project management experience, especially in managing enterprise software projects from start to finish.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a customer service mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Experience leading projects in areas like Operations, Reserves, G&G, or Materials Management.
Expertise with automation tools such as Alteryx Designer and Gallery, UiPath, and BI solutions like Power BI and Spotfire.
Location: Downtown Houston, TX (Hybrid schedule-remote work on Mondays and Fridays)
