Position Overview:

As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Spero, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with Federal Prime Contractors. You will sell both IT staffing and solutions, helping federal clients meet their mission-critical needs with the right combination of talent and technology. Don’t have federal sales experience? Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and engage Federal Prime Contractors through targeted outreach, cold calling, and in-person interactions to introduce Spero’s IT staffing and solutions.
  • Client Engagement: Build and develop long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders within Federal Prime Contractors and Integrators.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified leads in the federal space, ensuring timely follow-up and progression through the sales cycle.
  • Collaboration with Recruitment Teams: Partner with our recruitment team to deliver custom-tailored staffing solutions that meet the unique needs of federal projects.
  • Achieving Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales goals by driving new business opportunities and expanding Spero’s presence in the federal contracting space.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Sales Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT or Technical staffing.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to learn and grow in the federal sales space, with a commitment to applying training to achieve success.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence federal decision-makers.
  • Prospecting & Relationship Building: Experience in lead generation and relationship management, with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
  • IT Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Understanding of IT staffing needs and emerging technology trends, especially in the context of federal projects, is a plus but not required.
