Job Description

  • As a Lab Assistant, you will handle urine, blood, and fecal samples.
  • Your responsibilities will include opening and sorting samples, collecting samples, inputting information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), verifying patient information, and preparing samples for the technicians.
  • You will receive and quarantine all specimen packages, check specimens for acceptance criteria, and code non-testable specimens.
  • You will assist in strip manufacturing duties, including cutting and preparing strips for coating, and handle the logging of laboratory supplies.
  • Manual entry and verification of laboratory results will also be part of your tasks.

Qualifications
  • Lab assistant experience
  • Good attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling sensitive samples
  • Computer skills
  • Desire to enter into the health & medical field
