Actalent is currently seeking an Avionics Engineer for a long term indefinite contract to perform full design and implementation of avionics systems for a CASA 212 upgrade. They will be responsible for creating wiring diagrams and harness diagrams (and certifications of the drawings) with AutoCAD as well as performing electrical load analysis, test procedures, and ICA (Instruction for continued airworthiness). They will also be working with the Technicians on the shop floor for collaboration of implementation.

Engineer, Avionics Jan 2020
MUST have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Avionics or Aeronautical/Aerospace) or
equivalent experience
Minimum Of 4 Years Avionics Engineering Experience
MUST have electrical engineering or avionics engineering on avionics/aircraft systems
MUST have AutoCAD experience
STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) experience a nice to have
MUST have Electrical Load Analysis experience
MUST be able to communicate with leadership, customer, and Technicians

Actalent is currently seeking an Avionics Engineer for a long term indefinite contract to perform full design and implementation of avionics systems for a CASA 212 upgrade. They will be responsible for creating wiring diagrams and harness diagrams (and certifications of the drawings) with AutoCAD as well as performing electrical load analysis, test procedures, and ICA (Instruction for continued airworthiness). They will also be working with the Technicians on the shop floor for collaboration of implementation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering services for the support of the C212, CN235 and C295 aircraft operating in the U.S.
- Design and certification of avionic systems in 14 CFR Part 25 aircraft.
- Generate and review wiring drawings, wire routing schematics, electrical load analysis, technical reports and other technical publications.
- Assist in development of Certification plans, Test Procedures, ICA, AFMS, and Service Bulletins for new and existing projects.
- Develop documentation for new STC and non-STC avionic systems installations.
- Assist production team with installations and troubleshooting of avionic systems.
- Assist in Component Repairs as needed by generating instructions.
- Act as a liaison between Airbus Military Spain and Airbus Military NA.
- Develop methods for uniform publication of document changes.
- Experience with Digital Buses in support of protocol communications.
- Act as a positive role model in all aspects of professional performance.
- Observe safety procedures and personnel policies.
- BS Degree in Engineering, (Electrical/Avionics or Aeronautical/Aerospace) or equivalent experience.
- Highly organized professional with minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of aerospace engineering
- Aircraft Systems and FAA 14 CFR knowledge required.

- Generate wiring diagrams, wire routing drawings, electrical load analysis, test plans, AFMSs, and ICAs.
- Knowledge of EASA Certification Specifications (CS) is beneficial.
- Highly organized individual who is able to work with limited supervision.
- An integrity driven professional who will ensure all work is of a quality that is expected from an OEM.
- Computer literate: MS Project, MS Office Suite, and various CAD programs.
- Must be able to interact cordially and productively with subordinates, co-workers, supervisors and customers.
- Able to interpret drawings and specifications of Airbus Military aircraft
