Salary: Hourly Pay Rate Based on Applicable Experience

We are looking for a Senior Industrial SCADA Developer to join our passionate and dedicated Integrated Software (IS) team. This opportunity will be integral to client solutions and services such as digitizing manual processes, creating custom reporting tools, machine control, IoT concepts, and much more!

The Senior Industrial SCADA Developer will apply creativity and programming skills to SCADA/MES systems to create unique solutions for clients in a wide variety of industries. This position has lots of growth potential and will be high impact to Taking Industry to a Higher Level!

Job Summary

  • Create software/digital solutions for current and new SCADA/MES clients
  • Develop code and scripting in multiple languages including JSON, Python, T-SQL, HTML, JAVA & .NET, and apply to industrial automation systems (i.e. Ignition and/or FactoryTalk SE)
  • Execute preliminary visual samples for quoting and concept purposes
  • Design detailed functional specifications and process flow diagrams
  • Integrate database applications with real time and PLC controlled automation systems
  • Manage client relationship and project scope (give input on quotes and scheduling) under direction of Account Manager(s)
  • Commissioning and debugging client systems (remotely or at client's site)
  • Uphold safe work practices as per RidgeTech Automation s Health & Safety Program

Job Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and/or Control Systems is required
  • 5+ years of experience with JSON, Python, JAVA & .NET, T-SQL, or HTML/CSS
  • Certified in Inductive Automation Ignition Platform (Core, Gold, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of common industrial automation systems and requirements
  • Database experience with creating models and optimization techniques
  • Creative mind for creating user friendly user interfaces with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to communicate well with both clients and fellow team members
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated team player with a positive attitude
  • Programming experience with PLC s is an asset
  • Hold and maintain a valid Class G license and have dependable transportation to get to the office and local client sites

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position at 40-44 hours per week, additional hours based on client requirements, will be compensated according to company policy (i.e. overtime, double time, shift premium).
  • Work hours will depend on assigned the assigned job. Client sites may require specific onsite hours.
    • Team Members must be able to work from the office in Cambridge, Ontario
