JOB SUMMARY:

The Asset and Operation Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of ACWWA s asset management program.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Under moderate guidance and supervision the asset and operation administrator will be:

Responsible for the development and maintenance of ACWWA s Asset Management Program. This will include working with ACWWA vendors, consultants and staff to implement a new Computer Maintenance and Management System (CMMS) /AM solution at ACWWA, getting trained and becoming a proficient user of ACWWA s CMMS/AM as well as our Operations Data Management software application.

Expected to help train/support others on these software applications.

Oversee, execute and manage tasks and projects related to the development of ACWWA s asset management program.

Support our Operation and Maintenance teams in Water and Wastewater operations and help them with the Asset Management processes.

Oversee and ensure proper administration of work plans and administer schedules to staff related to ACWWA s Fleet, Grounds/Landscape, Facilities and Stormwater.

Manage a small staff group of Asset Management Professionals that will conduct many of the maintenance activities association with the work plans of the above systems.

Manage the status/progress of the asset management program, provide necessary analysis, reports and information to staff, executive team and Board as needed.

Work closely with the Asset Management committee to develop strategies and overall game plans for the program.

Support to the Engineering and Operations teams in various assignments as needed.

Manage the protection of our assets through insurance coverage and other means.

Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABITITIES:

Communication Skills needs to be able to communicate clearly by written and oral.

Technological Skills needs to know their way around spreadsheets and have some level of Computer/technologic skills and curiosity. This position will act as ACWWA s lead person to understand and operate our new Computer Maintenance and Management System (CMMS).

Project Management must be able to execute a scope of a project from start to end. This could be internal project with mostly/all staff, or could be a project in which a vendor/consultant is doing the work and this position is overseeing the successful completion of the work.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking skills While this position will have substantial support, it will need to make sounds decisions and provide sound positions/solutions to problems.

Interpersonal Skills this person will supervise others and work with all teams at ACWWA. They need to be able to work well with others.

Interest in Water and Wastewater Operations this position will work closely with our water and wastewater operation staff as it executes/develops/coordinated our Asset Management Program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor degree in a science/engineering/finance/mathematical/IT/computer science related field. or a combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge and ability.

Preferred experience

o Supervisory experience 2+ years

o Project Management experience 2+ years

o Exposure to Water and Wastewater Utility operations

o CMMS/Asset Management experience 2+ years

o Technology - use and comfort with technology beyond Office 365 2+ years
