Production Planner - Sr Operational Excellence Leader with Kinaxis

This role is for someone with a passion for driving operational excellence through process improvements and automation on the Shop floor / Manufacturing facility.

Person must optimize production planning, lead strategic initiatives, and partner across the organization to delight the internal and external customers.

This Leadership role is driving end-to-end production planning excellence through the strategic implementation of the Kinaxis supply chain planning platform and advanced workflows.

This role serves as a subject matter expert, leading the technical transition from Oracle ASCP to Kinaxis while also overseeing master production scheduling, work order management, capacity planning, and change control.

Core Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the technical implementation of the transition from Oracle ASCP to the Kinaxis supply chain planning platform, with a focus on production planning modules and workflows
• Serve as the production planning subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to cross-functional teams on system configurations, process improvements, and best practices
• Design and oversee the deployment of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes to optimize inventory and production levels
• Develop and execute robust master production scheduling processes, ensuring alignment between demand, capacity, and supply
• Allocate and coordinate the use of resources such as labor, machinery, and equipment to efficiently execute the production plan
• Manage the work order management lifecycle, including creation, release, and status tracking
  Partner with engineering teams on configuration management, including maintaining accurate BOM data, routing information, and production attributes
• Lead change management efforts related to production planning processes, aligning stakeholders and driving the adoption of new ways of working
• Analyze production and inventory data using advanced analytics to identify optimization opportunities and implement solutions to improve delivery performance, reduce waste, and enhance the customer experience
  Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, finance, and IT teams to align on production goals and execute plans to achieve them
• Provide technical leadership and training to production associates on Kinaxis functionality and planning-related transactions
• Capture user stories and requirements to inform the roadmap for future system enhancements and automation

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or a related field
• Extensive expertise in implementing and configuring Kinaxis supply chain planning software
• Deep understanding of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes
• Proven track record of leading successful ERP and supply chain planning system implementation projects
• Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Proficient in data analysis, programming, and system integration
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Kinaxis Author or Advanced User certification
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in the supply chain and logistics space (e.g. IoT, machine learning)
• Master's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline
