The Opportunity
As a Software Developer Intern you will have the opportunity to:
- Be under general supervision, involved in developing and maintaining programming code for complex information systems.
- May design, develop and /or maintain programming code for complex information systems.
- May be responsible for a phase of a complex information system.
Internship Program Benefits

Key Responsibilities
- In this role, you will be responsible for learning and training to develop software for Black & Veatch's custom design applications under supervision
- Learn about software engineering
- Assist experienced software engineers
- Coding and debugging existing software applications
- Collaborate with team members to develop new software.
- Learn to test software applications and document test results.
- Learn to review code and document reviews for other engineers.
- Learn to perform software releases and software quality assurance activities
- Learn to perform maintenance activities for products already in the production
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
- Must possess relevant experience and/or training in languages such as C++, C#, or JavaScript, or HTML
- Must possess relevant experience and/or training in data structures or object oriented design methodology
