DIRECTV is seeking a qualified Director / Senior Director of Growth who will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive growth strategies to increase our user base, improve engagement, and drive revenue across all markets.

They will supervise a high impact team to bring to market new video aggregation and lifecycle-management capabilities for a free premium tv experience seeded with free-ad-supported content (FAST) with frictionless pathways to SVOD subscriptions, transactional video, pay-tv packages and content bundles.

This role will work with a cross-functional team and partner closely with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Ad Sales, and Technology departments to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute innovative growth strategies to drive user acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue across all platforms and markets in partnership with Marketing, Analytics, Programming, and Ad Sales.


Product Roadmap Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Positioning: Brainstorm and support differentiated and strategic positioning within market leveraging primary and secondary research and competitive benchmarks.
  • Lifecycle Management: Build process and tools for user account management catering to a user-friendly and flexible customer journey.


Growth Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Imperatives: Deliver on overarching marketing strategy (4Ps | 3Cs) which aligns across all corporate goals.
  • Marketing Programs: Develop and customize strategy and tactics across Front Porch user acquisition and customer lifecycle programs including reconnect opportunities.
  • Campaign Performance: Partner with analytics on performance, using data to inform strategies and optimize performance.
  • User Performance Management: Lead efforts to identify tactics and address gaps with plan to scale user base.
  • SAC Optimization: Identify marketing tactics for front-porch growth while balancing with overall pay-products marketing spend through performance tracking and identification of the most effective channels for user acquisition.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the growth budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with Analytics to design and oversee A/B testing and experimentation programs to continuously improve growth metrics.
  • Develop and partner on key dashboards and analytics to track key growth metrics and communicate performance to stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in growth marketing and user acquisition.
  • Foster partnerships and relationships with external vendors, agencies, and technology providers to support growth initiatives.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in growth, marketing, or product management roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of driving significant growth in user acquisition, engagement, and revenue in a digital consumer product or service.
  • Strong understanding of growth marketing channels, user acquisition strategies, and retention tactics.
  • Experience with data analysis, A/B testing, and growth experimentation methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer's proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $154,850 - $281,060

Low (N1): $154,850 - $232,180

Mid (N2): $163,000 - $244,400

High (N3): $179,300 - $268,840

Top (N4): $187,450 - $281,060
