Serves as a leader, innovator, and change agent to outcomes oriented, quality patient care. Directs organizational regulatory compliance programs, Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) and clinical quality/safety programs. The Manager Quality & Safety responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Directs activities related to quality performance improvement, patient safety, and risk management

Assures organizational cognizance of the standards of the Joint Commission on accreditation, State and Federal regulatory, licensing and accrediting requirements.

Provides educational resources and consulting services to system entities in matters related to safety, accreditation, quality improvement, and outcomes measurement

Manages Patient Safety in accordance with regulatory guidelines and reports to appropriate committees as mandated

Analyzes actual and potential claims/risks at INTEGRIS facilities as identified by the risk management activities/quality assessment process

Assures the highest degree of compliance to the incident reporting procedures

Investigates all equipment-related incidents that result in a serious illness, serious injury or death and submits a report to the manufacturer and/ or FDA as required by the Safe Medical Devices Act

Completes interrogatories for attorneys, research medical records and interviews staff in order to validate compliance with policies and procedures and to gather information related to lawsuits

Accompanies investigators from state and federal agencies and arranges for meetings with staff and obtains documents requested

Analyzes clinical outcomes data and collaborates with leadership to develop, maintain and sustain structure and process that promotes standardization of practice.

Interprets clinical data with resolution of issues which have impact on the quality and safety of patient care

Directs organizational response to patient grievances and complaints

Ensures department staff are managed effectively, including hiring, evaluating performance and competency

Reports to assigned leader Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Uses telephone and computer keyboard up to 8 hours per day. Walks up to 20% of the time. Slight exposure risk to infection and communicable diseases from contact with the public. Frequent changes of work assignment. Frequent interruptions. General office noises. Bachelors degree in Nursing.

Masters degree in Nursing or Business Administration may be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state

5 years clinical nursing experience

5 additional years of leadership and/or education experience in an acute care setting
