Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manager, Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) to join our Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and enhancing our operational processes to support the banks AML program. This position reports to the Manager, FIU Regulatory Reporting and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the STR data entry and filing process.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the STR data entry and filing process, including gathering and inputting transaction data for submission to FINTRAC.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Assist the Manager in the oversight and control of regulatory reporting for the FIU.
  • LCTR Processes: Maintain knowledge of LCTR team processes, including the creation, submission, and ongoing maintenance of Large Cash Transaction Reports (LCTR) sent to FINTRAC.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and coach team members to develop and enhance their knowledge of regulatory guidelines and policy changes related to reporting requirements and ML/TF indicators.
  • Data Quality: Ensure adherence to data quality standards and timely submission of reports to the regulator to maintain compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for workflow and process improvements, partnering with other EAML pillars and technology teams to enhance and advance EAML Program.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in anti-money laundering (AML) operations and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory guidelines and policy changes related to AML.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
