Job Title: Sourcing Analyst
Location: 250 Yonge St, Toronto (Hybrid - 2 days in office weekly, GTA-based candidates only)
Start Date: December 2
Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension and conversion to full-time)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (37.5 hours weekly)
Overtime Requirements: None

Role Mandate:

Join our dynamic team supporting the implementation and ongoing delivery of projects within a Sourcing operations environment. We aim to provide a consistent and exceptional stakeholder experience, enforce internal/external control standards, and minimize risk. You will analyze data, create documents, and develop plans to inform, advise, or update stakeholders.

Team Structure:

Our team consists of 14 members who work closely together and with category managers in a collaborative nature. The selected candidate will have ample opportunity to work with the current individual in this role leading up to her leave time.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
  • Prepare preliminary Project Opportunity Strategies/Deal Summaries.
  • Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
  • Conduct analysis and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking activities.
  • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Coordinate and execute specific activities for the implementation of strategic initiatives, including tracking metrics and milestones.
  • Perform spend analysis utilizing Spotfire dashboards as required.
  • Prepare data for customized reports for Middle Office Management.
  • Identify areas of opportunity through analyses of industries and supply markets, cost models for products and services, supplier category spend, and the performance of key suppliers in the market.
  • Incorporate market-leading processes and practices to mitigate risk, drive innovation, and maximize overall value for assigned sourcing categories and portfolios.
  • Prepare project plans and keep key stakeholders informed of the process and progress.
  • Manage multiple programs/projects simultaneously and resolve conflicting priorities and objectives.
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Maintain knowledge of leading sourcing practices and promote the adoption of sourcing standards.
  • Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Continuously upgrade knowledge on event and sourcing methodologies with a specific focus on strategic category development.
  • Effectively communicate key messages/recommendations/results to all managerial levels.
  • Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
  • Think creatively and propose new solutions.
  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Work mostly independently.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Must Have Skills:

  • Vendor sourcing backgruond.
  • Experience with vendor contracts (creating and negotiating).
  • Relevant strategic sourcing, supply chain, and/or procurement work experience.
  • Knowledge of sourcing/procurement processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices, and standards across the project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement systems and applications.
  • Ability to network and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
