Summary Of Position

The Associate National Account Manager will be the primary support for the Team Lead and Senior National Accounts managers within the FDM+ Channel team with a focus on Walmart. This support will include but not limited to the follow key areas; new item set up and maintenance, promotional submissions and calendar, price changes, reset execution, operational support with orders and accounting, associate education, and prep with key retailer meetings. The Associate NAM plays a pivotal role in the sales team, acting as a bridge between the sales team, internal & customer cross functional teams. This person will work closely with the Category managers providing & requesting key information as needed as well as directly with customers

Responsibilities

  • Help manage the communications with sales teams, internal & external collaborating departments
  • Work directly with the FDM+ team to drive brand, channel and account specific initiatives
  • New item setup and maintenance for Inline and .com
  • Submitting promotional forms and maintaining promotional calendar
  • Submitting price changes as needed
  • Coordinating reset execution for completion
  • Operational support with order management and invoicing
  • Maintaining an updated assortment list and current pricing
  • Coordinating Associate Education opportunities for distribution
  • Helping the team prep for key retailer meeting presentations
  • Communicating with Category Managers on key product information
  • Fully understand the Walmart systems
  • Have a strong sense of urgency and the understanding of how to prioritize projects
  • Goal oriented mindset
  • Create strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Possess exceptional problem solving, listening. communication skills
  • Must have the computer skills needed to formula special reports in excel, power point presentations
  • Looking constantly for development as well as continues improvement
  • Accuracy in all forms submitted
  • Complete all task in a timely manner
  • Help facilitate the organization’s goals by supporting the sales team
  • Ability to following instructions, work independently, be flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks
  • Understanding the features and benefits of our product line
  • Participate in sales training and professional development opportunities.

Relationships

  • Direct report to Sales Channel Team Lead
  • Support FDM+ Sr. National Account Managers

Requirements

  • Must have a proven track record of success with Mass or Pet Specialty retailers
  • Must have a strong established relationship across the buying teams and cross functional teams
  • Firm understanding of and comfort navigating internal reporting systems, and processes.
  • Previous Category Management or Category Insights experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% overnight travel
