We are looking for a Product Owner to work the development, enhancement and maintenance of our Automated Communications Platforms. The person in this position works with a broad set of cross-functional partners across the firm to execute overall product direction, support communication strategies, and ensures communications effectiveness and efficiency by delivering and supporting high volume service and regulatory communication capabilities.

The successful candidate will support a quality and consistent digital and print experience across AutoComms platforms while improving the client experience. The candidate will own their teams backlog, contribute to maintaining the AutoComms roadmap, and support our partners. Exceptional relationship management, project management, comfort with technical details, attention to detail, independent problem-solving, solid communication skills, and a client-focused attitude are essential qualities for this position. The Product Owner will work with cross-functional teams with partners in Technology, Marketing Communications, Project Services, Legal, Compliance, Service, etc., to champion the vision, roadmap, and quality of communications products.

In this role, you will:

• Own all aspects of agile development for Schwab's Automated Comms from development to implementation, including understanding client needs, prioritizing potential solutions, measuring success through key metrics, and iterating smartly
• Translate client and firm needs into product vision and define detailed requirements for execution by technology teams
• Translate product vision into specific deliverables and ensure rigor in execution and attention to detail by effectively managing the product backlog
• Collaborate with scrum teams on sprint planning and releases
• Identify, manage, and deliver on dependencies with upstream and downstream technical partners
• Develop a deep understanding of client needs, build close relationships with key stakeholders, and deliver outcome-oriented solutions
• Focus on business impact and come up with actionable recommendations informed by high quality data analysis and metrics
• Create and maintain reports that provide visibility into the health of the program
• Navigate complex projects and translate high-level production concepts into detailed business requirements and implementation plans
• Recommend and ensure best practices are met and followed to eliminate risk, maximize value, and improve the Product Development Life Cycle
• Work with product peers to evaluate and assess opportunities
• Define, coordinate and participate in User Acceptance Testing
• Ensure regulatory compliance of products with the input from responsible content owners and teams (Legal, Compliance,Marcom)
• Stay current with industry best practices and market opportunities

• Strong digital product management skills, experience with client journeys, and demonstrated ability to synthesize and process data
• Technical background with a keen understanding of broader business needs and strategy

• Effective relationship builder--ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types
• Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
• Experience with and ability to lead projects through influence
• Strong written and verbal communication, being able to transform complex topics into well-organized, understandable communications to different audiences

Preferred Requirements:

• BA/BS or equivalent degree
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and sound decision-making capabilities
• Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
