Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by using excellent analytical skills to solve complex issues related to supplier invoicing and purchasing exceptions ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Perform a variety of complex analytical duties impacting internal and external customers. The analyst will work cross functionally with business groups and suppliers, fully understanding the end-to-end process flows. Provide functional expertise with transactions that impact payables subledger account balances. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Problem solves complex issues related to supplier records and invoicing transactions.
Ability to execute analysis on supplier and purchasing data to identify and correct invoice discrepancies or purchase order open balance issues. Includes skills to extract data to preform analysis.
Highlights issues and may recommend alternative courses of action to internal partner or leadership based on results of the analysis.
Perform trend analysis to identify business process failures to determine root cause, corrective action or process improvement.
Can execute data transactions and maintenance in all areas supported with in ERPs.
Can execute supplier and purchasing transitions relating to mergers, acquisitions, and divestures.
Effectively communicate to all levels of business and knowledge levels related to
Supports the implementation of new programs, process improvements, and new lines of business by leveraging expertise in Source2Pay space. Includes process development and change management support.
Make recommendations and solutions to leaders to support the solving of pain points, roadblocks and driving process improvements.
Basic qualifications
Education (minimum education level, degree, or certification necessary) Bachelor's experience in accounting or related business role OR at least 5 years' experience in related business role or equivalent work experience
2 - 3 years analytical and critical thinking skills in high volume high paced environment
Ability to convert raw data into a usable and visualized representation that supports business justification and/or enables accurate execution of needed action.
Strong experience utilizing various query tools for data visualization (SQL, Tableau, Incorta, Altyrex)
Functional knowledge and understanding of ERP systems (Oracle/Sap)
3 years communication with various internal/external customers
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross functional projects and activities.
Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of business and customers effectively.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
