Join Our Team as an Engineer at Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District!

Are you passionate about engineering and looking to make a tangible impact in your community? The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District is seeking an Engineer specializing in hydraulics and hydrology to join our team in Fresno, CA. If you have a knack for detail and want to be part of the Developmental Review team, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

  • Project Design and Review: Design and/or review various project maps, plans, and specifications.
  • Hydraulics and Hydrology Plans: Perform and/or review hydrology and hydraulics studies.
  • Document Preparation and Review: Prepare and/or review reports, agreements, and other project documents.
  • Problem Resolution: Support Management with solutions to engineering related problems and questions.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with our team, other public agencies, consultants, developers, and the public. Represent the District at various meetings. Prepare reports for the District's Board of Director's.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: At least one year of experience in Civil Engineering.
    • Possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or;
    • College coursework in engineering may be used as a substitute for one year of experience.
  • Education: A degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Skills: Strong technical skill set is a must.
  • Communication: Must be a strong communicator, able to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • License: A valid driver's license is required.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: Five-step salary system. Engineer I pay: $89,440 to $108,732 annually. Have more experience? Engineer II pay: $102,804 - $124,982.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, regular office hours
