Fuss & O'Neill is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic team in the headquarters office in Hartford, CT. As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, and management of bridge engineering projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects while contributing to the growth and success of our firm.

This position will reside in our Manchester, CT office, but your location is up to you! Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage bridge engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and standards.
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction professionals.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Stay updated on advancements in bridge engineering technology and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
  • Typically requires 10+ years of structural engineering experience, bridge engineering is must!
  • Previous supervisory and project management experience required
  • Experience with DOT and municipal bridge design
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and Revit; Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Technical experience with structural analysis and design software such as RAM Structual System, RISA-3D, Visual Analysis and EnerCalc preferred
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required; structural licensure is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences
