Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Security Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data security concepts and technologies, and be able to design and implement solutions to protect our clients' sensitive data.

  • Provide expert guidance on data security best practices and technologies to clients.
  • Architect and implement data security solutions, including DLP, encryption/tokenization, database activity monitoring, data discovery, and data classification.
  • Work with clients to understand their unique requirements and design tailored solutions to address their data security needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest data security trends and technologies.
  • Assist with vendor assessments and evaluations.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting and systems integration.
  • 5+ years of experience in data security projects.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing DLP technologies (e.g., Symantec, Forcepoint, McAfee, MS Purview, Proofpoint DLP).
  • Experience with DLP event triage, workflow integration, remediation, event management systems, and automation.
  • Strong systems administration skills in multiple OS environments.
  • Experience with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and remediating Linux/Unix or Windows-based appliances.
  • Experience with application maintenance tasks (e.g., updates, patching, hardware refreshes).
  • Experience with encryption key management concepts and systems.
  • Knowledge of database security (Oracle, MySQL, SQL, DB2).
  • Basic knowledge of security industry regulations/standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, GLBA) and compliance frameworks (ISO 27002, NIST, COBIT).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% in North America.

Preferred Skills

  • 7+ years of experience managing large-scale technology deployment projects.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and deploying large-scale DLP technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in information security consulting.
  • 5+ years of management consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of data encryption concepts.
  • Experience with PKI/certification management, data discovery and classification, and tools like Dataguise, Venafi.
  • CISSP or equivalent certification.
