Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

Perform non-invasive routine technical support under the direction of a registered professional nurse and/or physician. Assist physicians/healthcare providers as needed. Responsibilities include spearheading patient screenings at the new Covina office, conducting initial physicals for new wellness patients, and reaching out to potential patients to create more opportunities for the wellness program. The position involves outreach efforts, calling patients in the community to offer appointments, and participating in back-office duties such as screenings and vitals.

Hard Skills

  • MA Certificate
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • NexGen experience
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
  • Working knowledge of basic office programs and internet as related to medical office needs

Soft Skills

  • Eager to learn
  • Welcoming attitude
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Covina, California.

Work Environment

New Covina location opening in October at 605 E Badillo, Covina, CA. The role is Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM, with a potential start time of 8:30AM. Initial training will take place in West Covina until the new location opens.
