Public Relations (PR) Specialist Business and Finance Sectors

Sound Income Group is looking for a Public Relations (PR) Specialist with proven experience in the business and financial sectors of media. This role focuses on securing placements in top-tier business publications such as Bloomberg, CNBC, Fox News, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and others. The goal is to highlight the company's notable achievements in the finance and investment industries and our unique selling proposition which is our focus and expertise on investing for income.

This is an onsite position (Fort Lauderdale 33309). No hybrid or remote scheduling. No sponsorship available.

Responsibilities:

- Leverage existing media relationships to secure placements in prominent business publications, TV financial programs, National Financial Podcasts, and such.

- Build and maintain strong connections with reporters, editors, and producers at key media outlets.

- Proactively seek out positive media opportunities across various platforms, including broadcast, digital, podcasts, and print, to enhance our brand visibility in the finance industry.

- Develop and execute media campaigns, press releases, and pitches targeting relevant industry publications and mainstream media.

- Create thought-leadership content to position our company as a leader in the finance industry.

- Produce high-quality articles, blog posts, and other content that showcases our expertise and innovative approaches in the field.

- Identify and secure speaking engagements at industry conferences, events, and webinars.

- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts.

- Prepare detailed reports highlighting key performance indicators, audience engagement, media coverage, and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

Education/Experience

- 5 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications.

- Bachelor s degree.

- Previous agency experience is a plus.

- Proven experience in writing, editing, and proofreading marketing or press materials.

- Familiarity with media database platforms (Cision, Muckrack, etc.).

Expertise Needed:

- Strong understanding of the finance media sectors.

- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.

- Ability to stay current with news and trends within the financial media sector.

- Superior written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a deadline-driven environment.

- Detail-oriented with a strong service mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects successfully.
