Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Green Officer, the Manager Civil Engineering will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee the design, logistics, and construction or repair of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Lead and manage the civil engineering team including senior and junior level civil engineers and civil construction technicians.
  • Lead and manage the tailings basin maintenance team.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and practices are observed.
  • Responsible for a safe work environment for the team and closely coordinate with the Safety Manager.
  • Manage the operation and maintenance of internal roads, utilities, stormwater systems, and other related infrastructure.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years in technical and managerial aspects of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to manage people and teams to achieve goals and objectives.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent.
  • MN licensed Professional Engineer preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Work to occur in an active industrial environment, including outside, requiring adaptation to changing seasonal conditions.
