Who we are looking for
We are seeking a motivated Junior Database Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of database architecture and be eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. This role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems under the guidance of senior architects.

What you'll be doing...

  • Assist In the Design and Development of Database Architectures.

  • Support the Implementation and Maintenance of Database Systems, to Include Backups, Indexing, and Stored Procedure, Table, Views, and User Defined Function Creation.

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and other Stakeholders to Gather and Analyze Requirements to Support Existing and New Feature Enhancement of Creation.

  • Participate in the Optimization of Database Performance and Scalability, Ensuring Database Reliability, Resiliency, and Availability.

  • Ensure Data Integrity and Security, Implementing Secure Configurations and Encryption

  • Create and Maintain Detailed Documentation of Database Designs and Processes, Creation of Database Schema, Entity-Relationship Diagrams, and Data Dictionaries

  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Database-Related Issues with Guidance from Senior Architects.

  • Stay Updated with The Latest Industry Trends and Best Practices in Database Architecture.


Must Have...

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Related Field.

  • Basic Understanding of Database Architecture Principles and Methodologies.

  • Familiarity With SQL and Database Management Systems (E.G., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

  • General Experience Creating and Updated SQL Stored Procedures, Jobs, Views, Tables, and User Defined Functions (UDF).

  • Experience in Implementing Database Backup, Encryption, Availability Groups, and Identity Access Management (IAM) configurations.

  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Excellent Communication and Teamwork Abilities.

  • Willingness To Learn and Adapt to New Technologies and Methodologies.


Nice to Have...

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Knowledge of Data Modeling and Design.

  • Familiarity with Agile Development Methodologies.

  • This is a US-Based Remote position, all applicants need to be located within the United States be to be considered for the position
