  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  2. Click. then Settings.

  5. Click JavaScript.

Research Girl is a non-profit educational organization based in New York, NY, providing free resources for students to conduct scientific research. Our website offers templates, guides, and a mentorship program connecting students with professionals for guidance. With over 10,000 global users since April, we aim to make science more accessible, especially for disadvantaged students.

Role Description

This is a volunteer hybrid role for a Science Content Creator at Research Girl. The Science Content Creator will be responsible for writing and filming science content with guidance from our Science Content and Communications Manager. We're looking for a volunteer who has scientific experience as well as social media/content creation experience. Although most of the responsibilities of this role will take place remotely, we'd love to be able to meet in person for content filming and team building!

Qualifications

  • Scientific Research and Content Creation skills
  • Experience in developing educational resources and guides
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for promoting scientific literacy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Experience in STEM fields is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, and/or Marketing
