We are now seeking a talented cartoonist/illustrator to bring TRON Guy’s rich history, playful personality, and philosophical musings to life through a weekly cartoon series.

The series will explore everything from internet history to blockchain culture, blending humor and satire with deeper philosophical insights — much like the iconic works of Calvin and Hobbes, Animaniacs, and other beloved pop culture staples. We want to weigh in on current events, internet trends, and digital transformation from the unique perspective of TRON Guy.

What We're Looking For:

We are searching for a cartoonist who can create engaging, witty, and thought-provoking cartoons that showcase TRON Guy’s adventures and philosophical musings in the digital age. You will have the creative freedom to develop a series that is part meme, part cultural critique, blending humor and heart. Your work will help shape the visual narrative of the TRON Guy Project as it evolves with the ever-changing digital world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a weekly cartoon series featuring TRON Guy, addressing topics like internet culture, blockchain, and current events, with a balance of humor and insight.
  • Develop storylines and characters that bring out the core philosophy of the TRON Guy Project, showcasing its deeper values like community, decentralization, and freedom of expression.
  • Infuse the cartoons with references to internet history and blockchain culture while ensuring they are accessible and relatable to a wide audience.
  • Provide visual storytelling that ranges from light-hearted and playful to thought-provoking and reflective, similar to the tone of Calvin and Hobbes or Animaniacs.
  • Collaborate with the core team to ensure alignment with the project’s vision and goals, while having the freedom to express your unique artistic voice.
  • Stay informed on trending internet culture and current events to keep the series relevant and timely.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a cartoonist/illustrator with a portfolio showcasing a variety of styles, ideally including both humorous and philosophical works.
  • A deep understanding and appreciation for internet history, meme culture, and digital communities.
  • Ability to draw in a style that blends whimsy and sophistication, similar to classic cartoons like Calvin and Hobbes, Animaniacs, or other satirical works.
  • Creativity and adaptability in translating complex digital and philosophical ideas into simple, impactful cartoons.
  • Experience or strong interest in blockchain, decentralization, and cryptocurrency culture is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a remote team.
