Investment Associate, Venture & Growth Equity

We are a tech focused venture and growth equity firm, looking to hire an Investment Associate to focus on analyzing and evaluating new investment opportunities.

We are a venture and growth equity firm that invests in enterprise software and tech-enabled services businesses beginning at Series B and up until pre/post IPO and this role will play a critical part in the investment process. Some of our realized investments include Netflix, Facebook, PayPal, Airbnb,Coursera, Wish, and Rover and several of our recent investments include Capsule, Apollo.io, ZenBusiness,Semperis and Second Front.

Our investment team is a dedicated team where everyone is focused on sourcing,investment analysis, deal origination, and diligence and the role can either sit in our NYC or San Francisco office. We are a hybrid workplace in the office three days per week. The role will require occasional travel and the candidate may be expected to attend certain investor events or on-site diligence meetings.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Investment Associate opportunity consists of venture and growth stage venture capital sourcing, diligence, sector analysis, and portfolio management.

  • Evaluate investment opportunities and conduct due diligence, including, market/customer research, business analysis, financials/modeling, etc.
  • Identify sectors and/or themes of coverage and originate targeted investment opportunities in that context based on research on markets and companies
  • Interact with CEOs and senior executives to build relationships, diligence their companies and assess their needs, and determine the potential for a partnership
  • Generalsupport of the firm's investment activities, including participation at management and board meetings, and monitoring and partnering on growth initiatives with portfolio companies

Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years of experience encompassing investment banking, private equity or venture capital, financial due diligence or a similar role at a consulting firm.
  • Degree in finance, accounting, computer/data science, economics or another technical-focused degree
  • Working knowledge of investment analysis, and financial modeling
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and proactively on a small team
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills
