Our client, a leading company in the biomass industry, is seeking a highly skilled Area Manager (Maintenance).

About the Role

As an Area Manager (Maintenance), you shall lead a dynamic team and oversee daily operations, ensue quality control, optimize equipment performance, and manage the mechanical budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a skilled team in a proactive, safe, and efficient environment.
  • Design and manage KPIs for safety, quality, efficiency, and financial success.
  • Manage CAPEX projects, including budget oversight and contractor management.
  • Maintain stock levels of press components and schedule tooling refurbishment.
  • Develop and oversee a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Apply critical thinking to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Track production and report accurately.
  • Communicate equipment needs to team and management.
  • Oversee breakdown and root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and 5S projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and uphold EHS standards.

About You:

As an ideal candidate you would bring along:

  • Two-year degree or equivalent courses and/or 5 years experience in industrial supervision; four-year degree preferred.
  • Project management experience and formal Lean manufacturing training preferred.
  • Prior experience supervising a maintenance crew and managing vendor compliance.
  • Experience in a continuous process environment.
  • Proficient knowledge of pneumatic conveyance, hydraulics, electronics, welding, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Key attributes: results-focused, planning and organization, technical knowledge and troubleshooting, communication proficiency, and vision-strategy.
  • Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, wet).
  • Ability to walk, climb, twist, turn, grasp, lift, push, pull, reach, bend, squat, and work on platforms over 100 feet.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
