Backend Java Developer

Our Atlanta area Fintech client is seeking a skilled Java Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will be onsite 3x a week in Cumming, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, with experience in Spring Boot, microservices architecture, SQL, and AWS. Candidate must be local to the Cumming, GA area.

DUE TO CLIENT RESTRICTIONS, this is a contract-to-hire position and our client is unable to transfer/sponsor any work visas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java based applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions across the enterprise.
• Implement and optimize backend services, APIs, and databases, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and database schemas for efficient data management.
• Utilize AWS services for application hosting, storage, and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work onsite from day 1. This role will be onsite 3x a week in Cumming, GA.
• 8+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and building microservices.
• Solid knowledge of SQL databases and ability to write complex queries.
• Experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
