Job Title: Pipeline Compliance Specialist

Department: Engineering and Integrity

Reports To: Director, Engineering and Integrity

Job Summary: The Pipeline Compliance Specialist is responsible for performing TVC (Traceable, Verifiable, and Complete), MAOP confirmation, document package audits, and GIS discrepancy reporting for pipeline assets. Compliance is performed in accordance with PHMSA regulations 190, 191, 192, and API 1169 standards. This role includes the responsibility for welding, material, and field inspection documentation review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction project documentation, ensuring adherence to technical and safety standards.
  • Review and interpret technical documents including welding, material, pressure test, survey, NDT, technical drawing, certification, and daily log information.
  • Utilize data management tools proficiently, including MS Excel, to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Address GIS discrepancies in pipeline data for both transmission and distribution assets.
  • Confirm MAOP through appropriate validation processes.
  • Apply TVC practices to documentation packages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support pipeline integrity management plans, including risk reporting.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to pipeline asset integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with PHMSA regulations 190, 191, 192, and API 1169.
  • Reviewing, redlining, editing of facility, pipeline, as-built drawings and alignment sheets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, information cross referencing, and documentation.
  • Proven experience in pipeline compliance, construction management, technical document review, and GIS systems.
  • Familiarity with PHMSA regulations, API standards, and welding inspection protocols.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with drafting and designing standards of pipeline systems in gas processing facilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with MAOP confirmation and application of TVC practices.
  • Knowledge of pipeline integrity management and construction field inspections.
  • Experience with Engineering Drawings
  • Ability to work independently, communicate with multiple third parties, and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Work Environment: This position may require occasional travel to pipeline sites for inspections and compliance verification. The role may also involve collaboration with various stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and field operations teams.
