THE ROLE:
We are looking for a n S MTS ( Senior Member of Technical Staff) Engineer with an obsession for firmware. As part of the role, th e SMTS E ngineer will work closely with other firmware engineers, developers and architects across various IPs in leading the desig ns and implementing firmware that spans pre -silicon and post-silicon for all AMD SoCs.
THE PERSON:
You are passionate about firmware development with creative and effective problem-solving skills, a motivated, self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environments. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

- Lead Engineer responsible for d esign ing , develop ing , debug ging , verify ing and/or validat ing firmware, software and/or hardware
- Lead day-to-day f irmware development work
- Provide consultation to internal and external customers regarding AMD features and programming requirement s
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years of related firmware experience combined with technical education within the semiconductor industry
- Strong C, C++, Python
- Knowledge of system C
- Verilog familiarity desirable
- Familiarity with high speed memory interfaces (HBM, DDR, GDDR)
- E xpert level e xperience producing quality firmware
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor ' s or M aster ' s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
