The Supply Chain Director will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations, focusing on Purchasing, Warehousing, Inventory Management, and Supply and Demand Planning. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the efficiency of our procurement processes, maintaining optimal stock levels, and driving collaboration across departments to support business growth and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to lead a team and implement strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Purchasing and Sourcing:
    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure optimal supplier relationships, cost savings, and timely procurement of goods.
    • Negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring best-in-class terms while managing risk and quality standards.
    • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives as necessary.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Ensure effective inventory control processes, including planning appropriate stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
    • Oversee inventory optimization strategies, analyzing data to forecast future inventory needs.
    • Manage and improve cycle count processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  3. Supply and Demand Planning:
    • Lead the development and management of demand forecasting in collaboration with the sales team, utilizing statistical models and business insights.
    • Own the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process, driving cross-functional alignment between sales, operations, and finance teams.
    • Monitor supply chain performance metrics, adjusting strategies to meet company goals for service level, inventory turns, and cost efficiency.
  4. Warehouse and Distribution Management:
    • Plan and optimize the warehouse network to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery of goods to customers.
    • Oversee warehousing operations to improve efficiency, safety, and service levels.
    • Implement systems and best practices for warehouse space utilization and distribution logistics.
  5. Master Data Management:
    • Maintain and manage supply chain master data, ensuring accuracy and reliability across all planning and procurement processes.
    • Develop and implement policies for data governance in line with organizational standards.
  6. Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Act as a key leader in cross-functional collaboration with sales, finance, operations, and product development to drive alignment on business objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
    • Drive strategic initiatives to improve overall supply chain performance, from supplier management to customer delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, including leadership experience.
  • Strong expertise in procurement, demand planning, and warehouse management.
  • Proven track record of leading S&OP processes and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain analytics tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Expertise in managing complex, multi-location warehouse operations.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Inventory turnover rates and inventory accuracy.
  • Supplier performance metrics (cost savings, lead times, quality).
  • Service level agreements (SLA) for on-time deliveries.
  • Reduction of stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Efficiency of warehouse operations (cost per unit shipped, order fulfillment time).
