Overview: The IT Director will operate within a matrixed leadership structure, addressing dynamic and diverse customer needs while building and managing a robust IT strategy and support framework. This role involves overseeing infrastructure, business applications, and end-user desktop and device support. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Effectively lead within a matrixed leadership structure, catering to diverse and evolving customer needs.
  • Design, manage, and invest in constructing a high-performing IT support organization focusing on infrastructure, business applications, and end-user support.
  • Establish and define new roles and responsibilities for direct reports.
  • Manage local and regional support resources over extended periods.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, support policies and procedures, and provide guidance to direct reports.
  • Conduct staff evaluations and identify opportunities for upskilling and professional development.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and maintain department and project budgets, including capital and expense forecasts, and budget to actual reporting.
  • Create comprehensive business cases with demonstrated ROI to secure executive support.
  • Implement asset tracking solutions with associated reporting mechanisms.

Support Management:

  • Build and oversee a help desk, select and enhance a help desk ticketing solution, establishing metrics and managing to meet SLAs.
  • Manage relationships with device vendors and oversee vendor support.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, procure, and implement network solutions, ensuring the inclusion of segmented subnetworks, business asset needs, and stringent security measures.
  • Manage mobile device security, aligning with the broader IT security framework.

Business Applications Management:

  • Champion a cloud-first business application strategy.
  • Govern and support stakeholder management for ERP implementations, particularly understanding Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Value added Service transaction cycles for distributors and/or manufacturers.
  • Implement and support digital commerce solutions, and integrate applications supporting business transaction cycles.
  • Manage a small team of business analysts and developers, ensuring adherence to application design and development best practices.
  • Support SOX audits for compliance and lead or participate in strategic business application selections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; master s degree preferred.
  • 5 + years of managerial experience
  • Experience working within a matrixed leadership structure.
  • Proven track record in managing IT infrastructure, business applications, and end-user support.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget development, forecasting, and business case preparation.
  • Experience with cybersecurity and risk management.
  • Hands-on experience in help desk construction and vendor management.
  • Expertise in network design, security implementation, and mobile device management.
  • Deep understanding of business applications, ERP systems, and digital commerce solutions.

Experience leading teams and supporting compliance audits, including SOX.
