Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our team. As an SAP ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining custom SAP applications using ABAP programming language. The role requires a deep understanding of SAP modules and the ability to work closely with functional teams to create high-quality, scalable, and efficient SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments, and a strong ability to troubleshoot and optimize SAP programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows using ABAP programming within SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems.
  • Work closely with SAP functional teams (FI, MM, SD, PP, etc.) to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Develop and modify existing ABAP programs to enhance system functionality, improve performance, and provide new capabilities.
  • Perform ABAP performance tuning and optimization, ensuring high efficiency and scalability of custom SAP solutions.
  • Develop and maintain SAP Reports, BDC (Batch Data Communication), SAP Scripts, SmartForms, User Exits, BADI, Enhancements, and IDOCs.
  • Implement SAP Fiori and OData Services for enhancing user interfaces and enabling mobile capabilities.
  • Perform unit testing and support functional teams during integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to custom ABAP programs and ensure smooth system operation.
  • Participate in full life cycle SAP implementations and rollouts, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Document technical specifications, test cases, and solutions for custom developments in SAP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, SAP consultants, and third-party vendors to ensure the successful deployment of SAP solutions.
  • Keep abreast of SAP best practices and new technologies, including ABAP on HANA, S/4HANA, and Fiori.

Required Qualifications:

  • 13+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Strong proficiency in ABAP programming and SAP development tools.
  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancements.
  • Experience with SAP Forms, including SmartForms, SAPScripts, and Adobe Forms.
  • Familiarity with ABAP Objects and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Experience developing OData services and SAP Fiori applications.
  • Strong understanding of SAP data dictionary objects, reports, and ALV.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ABAP on HANA and HANA CDS Views.
  • Experience with SAP UI5 and Fiori Elements.
  • Knowledge of SAP Workflow development and enhancement.
  • Understanding of SAP integration technologies such as ALE, EDI, and Web Services.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • SAP Certifications in ABAP or S/4HANA development is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
