Senior IT Technician

CMIT Solutions of Wilmington is seeking a level three technician to work directly with a
motivated team to manage and maintain the IT networks of many businesses
throughout our local area.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage client servers and networks, troubleshoot
and resolve issues and complete projects efficiently. This candidate should be able
begin immediately and lives at an accessible distance from our office location near
Wilmington, North Carolina. Does this sound like you?

Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose, research and troubleshoot computer system issues, including servers,
networks, and other devices/peripherals, both remotely and onsite.
Install, configure, and support client s IT infrastructure including servers (physical
and virtual), networks, and computer systems.
Operate within relevant cybersecurity compliance frameworks, and provide
guidance and recommendations on cybersecurity best practices.
Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure / Entra environments and Active Directory
infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and
security components.
Provide on-call emergency services after business hours, holidays and
weekends as required.
Respond promptly and professionally to alerts and end-user IT issues
Monitor and update Service Desk incident tracking tickets for purposes of
demonstrating compliance with issue response and resolution, Service Level
Agreements, logging daily activities and documenting solutions.
Function as primary point of contact and communication with customer from
assignment of ticket to successful resolution of issue, including scheduling work
and keeping customer aware of work status and solution progress.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in IT or related technical field.
3+ years of IT related technical experience.
A+, Server+, Network+, and/or Security+ certification preferred but not required if
work experience is comparable.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or other Microsoft
certifications; or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience.
Expert knowledge and experience of implementing and configuring secure
business class networks.
Expert knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows Server Operating
Systems.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time, multi-task, work under
pressure, and prioritize and handle interruptions.
Ability to work with team members and provide leadership on projects and client
onboarding
Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills
Enthusiasm and a desire to help our customers grow their businesses by serving
their IT needs

Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
