Job role: Event Sales Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Venue Sales Manager to drive venue sales and build lasting relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in venue sales, excellent networking skills, and a passion for creating exceptional event experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Achievement: Drive venue sales, achieving approximately $1 million in top-line revenue annually, while consistently exceeding sales targets.

  • Event Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote our venues for various events, including corporate functions, weddings, and social gatherings.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction throughout the sales process.

  • Networking: Actively engage in networking opportunities outside the office to cultivate new business relationships and expand our client base.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with logistics and account management counterparts to ensure smooth execution of events and maintain involvement in client relationships.

  • Team Support: Collaborate with a small, dedicated team to foster a positive work environment and support each other in achieving common goals.

  • Venue Walkthroughs: Conduct venue tours and presentations for potential clients to showcase our facilities and services.

  • Event Software Utilization: Utilize event management software such as Cvent, Venue Ops, TripleSeat, DelpFi, and Caterease to streamline operations and enhance client engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in venue sales, with a track record of achieving $1 million in annual sales.

  • Networking Skills: Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to client engagement.

  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with various departments.

  • Event Software Proficiency: Familiarity with event management software; experience with Cvent, Venue Ops, TripleSeat, DelpFi, or Caterease is a plus.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to participate in a mix of office and remote work, as well as engage in local networking events.
