We are seeking candidates for a Technical Product Owner position with a 5-day onsite work arrangement. While local candidates are preferred, the position is open to applicants from anywhere in the USA.

Summary:

The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced Technical Product Owner with a background in data solutions, particularly within Finance and Insurance. They must have the technical know-how to manage data pipelines and warehouses using tools like AWS, Snowflake, and Informatica, as well as proficiency in BI tools. They should be capable of managing a product backlog, creating user stories, and ensuring alignment between stakeholders and the development team in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Backlog Management:

    • Manage and refine the product backlog, ensuring items are kept up-to-date and properly prioritized based on business needs, product goals, and user requirements.
    • Continuously improve and reassess priorities to ensure the backlog aligns with the evolving project scope.
  2. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, management, and the development team to facilitate clear communication.
    • Work closely with different parties to align the development process with business objectives.
  3. User Story Creation:

    • Develop user stories that effectively communicate the context and requirements for each product feature to the development team.
  4. Compliance and Development Oversight:

    • Assess the development process at various stages to ensure it meets customer requirements and expectations.

Required Technical and Domain Expertise:

  1. Data Expertise:

    • Data Ingestion and Consumption: Experience in managing data ingestion pipelines and ensuring effective data consumption.
    • Data Management: Skilled in building data solutions, including Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
  2. Domain Knowledge:

    • Functional Experience in Finance and Insurance: Understanding of the unique needs and challenges within the finance and insurance sectors.
  3. Technology Experience:

    • AWS Cloud Services: Knowledge of AWS cloud-based solutions and their application in data management.
    • Snowflake: Proficiency in working with Snowflake for data warehousing.
    • Informatica: Experience in using Informatica for data integration and ETL processes.
    • Business Intelligence (BI) Tools: Expertise in tools like Tableau, Cognos, and BusinessObjects (BO) for data visualization and reporting.
  4. Agile Methodology:

    • Strong understanding and experience working in Agile environments, ensuring iterative development and continuous improvement.
