  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer Control Systems Design

Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in designing and programming control systems for automated manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant experience and a proven ability to manage projects from concept to installation. An associate degree in a related field is desired. This position requires a willingness to travel an average of 25%, primarily within the U.S., with the potential for future international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and programming of automated equipment.
  • Design and program safety circuits using safety PLCs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety devices to ensure safe operations.
  • Develop control systems following UL 508 certification standards.
  • Specify components and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.
  • Perform electrical and pneumatic design, PLC programming, machine debugging, and ensure systems are certified for customer run-off.
  • Oversee the installation and startup of equipment at customer sites, providing hands-on support for seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and programming control systems for automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Expertise in PLC, HMI, robotics, motion control, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for design purposes.
  • Strong experience with Allen Bradley software including:
    • Studio 5000
    • RS 500
    • FactoryTalk View
    • Other related Allen Bradley tools
  • Familiarity with UL 508 standards and ability to design certified systems.
  • Experience in safety circuit design and risk assessment for automated systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience in industrial robotics programming and integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
