  • Two-years’ experience working as an administrative assistant; and

  • Must provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports and handling information requests in addition to performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, scheduling meetings, organization of travel and business expense reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of office administration and management; proper grammar, punctuation and spelling; business
  • communications and ability to take notes is necessary. May act as immediate supervisor’s personal representative in routine contacts with other State executives; perform special assignments, studies and routine administrative functions as specifically directed; screen incoming correspondence, refer to appropriate staff, and follow up to assure timely response.
  • Perform related duties as required. In addition, the candidate must possess and/or have the ability to:
  • Track and manage reporting projects without daily oversight.
  • Excellent verbal communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience managing multiple time-sensitive, complex projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including working experience with Excel, WebEx, and Zoom.
  • Telecommuting may be allowable upon discretion of the hiring manager.
  • Manage calendars and schedule meeting with both internal and external stakeholders (insurers, industry trade groups, other state regulators)
  • Follow-up on deliverable from internal stakeholders
  • Handle correspondence, calls, emails and other forms of communication with internal and outside stakeholders
  • Prepare reports and other documents
  • Manage travel arrangements - planning and organizing itineraries, including booking flight and hotel reservations
  • Assist with special projects and research as needed; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned
