My client is a paper/packaging manufacturer around the Illinois/Wisconsin border partnered with name brand retail and fast food companies to manufacture their solutions at a greater capacity. This role will be taking on all plant management responsibilities including of the engineering team
Job Description
- Manage 6 direct reports, and over 100+ indirect reports
- Handle P&L responsibilities, be an active part of the leadership strategy team
- Utilize background in paper and packaging manucaturing to troubleshoot production issues on the floor
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, seeking ways to be more efficient and optimize cost savings opportunities
- Hand's On Role - lead by example
- Identify production problems and present creative solutions to Ownership
- Troubleshoot machinery programming - do not need to be an expert.
- Communicate with customers and regularly perform DFMA
The Successful Applicant
- 7Y+ Experience in a packaging environment
- 5+ Years of Leadership Experience (Experience of over 100+ indirect reports highly preferred)
- Experience in being in smaller and larger plants or being a part of leading a smaller plant to a larger one
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher is ideal
- "Hands On" Mentality, not afraid to get your hands dirty
- Experience with DFMA
- Competitive Base Salary up to $155,000
