Job Overview

• We are seeking an Audio Software Tools Engineer in San Diego! You will assist the audio algorithms team and develop tools to tune interfaces for processing components, simulation tools for microphone placement, tools for synthetic test vector framework, and implement test metrics. You should have a basic understanding of Audio Signal Processing, including Time/Frequency domain, audio codecs, EQ, Dynamics, common prodessing components, and signal math. You should have experience developing applications in MATLAB and be familiar with Python and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree is required in the field of electrical or mechanical engineering or other applicable degree with emphasis in acoustics, audio engineering, DSP or other relevant field.
• Basic understanding of digital signal processing, signals and systems.
• Background designing acoustic experiences.
• Solid understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics and transducers.
• Proficient with Matlab.
• Critical listening skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of digital/analog circuit design would also be helpful.
