Operations Support Technician (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a contract-to-hire Operations Support Technician to join an industry-leading payments technology and solutions organization. The Operations Support Technician is responsible for running day-to-day operations, handling tickets, responding to incidents, and interfacing with various vendors and stakeholders.

Location: Remote

This job expects to pay about $48 - 60 per hour plus benefits.

What You Will Do:


  • Manage and resolve approximately 50 tickets daily, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Respond to on-call incidents and escalate as necessary to maintain service levels.
  • Interface with vendors to troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolutions.
  • Operate within an enterprise environment following ITIL practices, including Change Management processes.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and address underlying issues.
  • Take initiative and proactively manage tasks without waiting for direction.
  • Facilitate migrations and ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
  • Utilize network knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues related to firewalls, ports, and network connectivity.
  • Support multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
  • Leverage cloud experience, particularly in AWS, to support cloud-based services.

  • Proficiency in Proofpoint or similar email security platforms.
  • Experience operating in an enterprise IT environment with a solid understanding of ITIL framework.
  • Ability to perform RCA and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong initiative and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in systems migration is essential.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles, firewalls, and ports.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
  • Cloud experience, particularly in AWS, is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications and continuous learning in emerging technologies are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with tools used in SOC environments.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies such as CrowdStrike.
