Seeking a professional to manage Data Subject Requests (DSRs) under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws. This role involves the end-to-end processing, tracking, and timely completion of client, employee, or third-party DSRs while ensuring compliance with firm policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Manage DSRs in accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy regulations
  • Track and log DSRs using workflow systems; ensure completion within regulatory timelines
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR) to gather relevant personal data
  • Review and redact confidential, privileged, or non-personal data; apply legal exemptions where necessary
  • Respond to data subject and third-party queries or complaints
  • Review privacy controls for vendors and ensure appropriate contractual agreements
  • Assess privacy terms and data processing agreements for client engagements

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and global privacy laws
  • 2-3 years' experience in legal, compliance, risk, audit, or similar functions
  • Experience in large organizations with complex technological environments
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); SharePoint experience preferred
  • Experience with Relativity or similar platforms is a plus
  • CIPM and/or CIPP/E certification preferred but not required
  • Experience in reviewing privacy-related contractual arrangements and tracking cross-border data transfers
  • Familiarity with OneTrust and relevant certifications is a plus
  • Likely to extend beyond 5 months due to multiple ongoing projects, with potential for contract-to-hire. Position is 100% remote, supporting EST hours.
