RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Lead Development Environment Support Engineer. This position is fully remote, and candidates can sit anywhere nationwide.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the development environment by establishing processes for end-to-end testing across all technical areas, including SMTP, Proofpoint, Ping, Security, etc.
Duties:
* Manage and coordinate User Consultations
* Develop/create business requirements for the existing Development Environment
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support process and service improvements
* Troubleshoot errors in the current Development Environment and related problems with individual technology owners (Active Directory, Ping ID, VDI, Microsoft Management Console, etc.)
* Create/develop dynamic reports to tell the story for the entire department from the various tools we use
* Work to establish test process procedures; Work with technical teams to define the process for setting up/clearing test environment and running tests
* Determine process for tracking test results including identification of both non-successful and successful test results
* Work with technical teams to identify root cause and propose remedial action(s)
* Prepares formal test result summaries to be on record; Establish tracking mechanism for recording and documenting test results
* Define process for re-setting test environment to -clean- state for next round of testing
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7-10 years working in a nonproduction IT environment supporting development and/or QA (Isolated Pre-Production) is preferred
* Minimum of 5-10 years of testing experience
* Experience implementing environment management processes
* Prior experience in end-to-end testing for infrastructure environments
* Must be experienced with Azure/Active Directory/ability to create reports from Active Directory
* Good general knowledge of infrastructure and different technologies, i.e. SMTP, Ping, Security, etc.
* Proficient knowledge of personal computers and spreadsheet and word processing programs
* Must be familiar with O365 and have infrastructure and application testing experience
* Must be familiar with QA test and bug reporting concepts
* Strong analytical mind, and a proven ability to work with limited direction
* Developing/Creating Metrics
* Outstanding organizational and process skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills
Tools:
* Experience with Service Now and ITIL Service Management
* Knowledge of MCM (Microsoft Configuration Management)
* Microsoft Windows OS
* Microsoft Intune
* Office365 Power Platform
* VMWare/VDI
* Active Directory/Azure
* MFA/PingID
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
